ActionBoards v1.6 Update!
BRAND NEW! ActionBoards v1.6 Just released today! If you’ve ever been interested in storyboarding in Blender there has never been a better time than now. ActionBoards v1.6 is available to download on my Gumroad store: https://funpix.gumroad.com/l/ActionBoards
A major new feature of this update is EDL file exporting, and adding burn-in data to still image exports. Allowing for even more flexibility when bring your storyboard into editorial!
ActionBoards v1.6.0 Released July 11th 2025 - Compatible with Blender 4.0.2+, 4.1+, 4.2.2+
NEW FEATURES:
- EDL timeline files now export with Video
- EDL timeline files not export with Still Image Sequences
- Color Cards now export alongside video clips
- Panel Sequence exports can now have Burn-in Data (Panel Number, Frame Number, Scene Name, and Text Notes)
FEATURE IMPROVMENTS:
- User imputed FPS is now used for rendering Camera In-betweens for still image exports (This makes smoother/cleaner exports)
- Scene Audio Playback is now on by default for the Editorial workspace
- Force Correct Workspace is now on by default (recommended from user feedback)
BUG FIXES:
- Cross dissolve and fade-in/fade-outs are no longer rendered on top of video when exporting individual scenes
OTHER CHANGES:
- Old 'Camera In-betweens' system now replace with 'Camera Capture FPS' (frames per second)
- 'Camera Capture FPS can be set between 2-24 frames
- Due to improved stability with the latest Blender 4.2 updates "Beta Features" are now stable and are now re-branded as "Additional Features"

- Minor UI adjustments made to Editorial Tools menu

- Multi-scene playback now loops back around to SC.000 once the end of the storyboard has passed
- Speed Improvement when Reordering Scenes
BUG FIXES:
- Mp4 Exports no longer have frame range in their names
- Multi-scene playback scene skip bug fixed
- Other minor bugs removed
- Having 'Linked' Objects in a file no longer breaks scene reordering, duplicating, and splitting

(Current method causes slowdown when in the Editorial, and audio is not currently supported by Blender due to a bug with the VSE)
BUG FIXES:
- Removed accidental uses of Add-on hotkeys creating error messages when Storyboard Workspace is not built
- Can now set frame rate as low as 4fps
- Pop-ups added to inform users when breaking the limitations of most tools.
- 'Maintenance Brushes' now removed, as the bug it was a quick fix for has been removed
UI UPDATES:
- Rendering time now displayed after video export
- Major overhaul of add-on preferences menu (significantly more options)
- 'Sync Grease Pencil Materials' now replaces 'Maintenance Brushes' in the 'SetUp' menu
